Passion for Pattern Bloghop – Welcome! … Willkommen!

Welcome to all bloghoppers, joining me from the inspirational blog of Miranda Mol. I'd now like to show you a mix and match of patterns that I created during our fantastic E-course "The Art and Business of Surface Pattern Design". Hope you like it! (Klick on image to enlarge.) For more patterns and collections please go to the "Surface Design" page of this blog.

Our E-course was a fabulous experience. The chance to study online was heaven sent for me, as there's no possibility to study Surface Design in Germany. I've learned lots and lots (an ongoing process …), really enjoyed to be part of an international, inspirational and supportive group of students and definitely found a new direction for my creative work. A big "thank you" goes to the two inspiring women who created this course: Beth Nicholls and Rachael Taylor!
The end of the course is hopefully a beginning: I am working on children's designs right now. This has been on the top of my wish list for quite a while! My little "Sunflower Fool" is already available on fabric at Spoonflower. I might have the chance to exhibit my children's patterns at Indigo Paris in September under the wings of a studio.
More plans? Yes, a lot: I hope to get my portfolio ready and online at the end of this year. I want to make more fabric designs available for purchase on Spoonflower. And I definitely want to start my own small collection. I hope to get it ready for Christmas shopping … will have to decide if it's going to be handmade or digitally printed … right now I am experimenting with handprinting.
Oh, and yes, I would really welcome any freelance work and yes, I am looking for an agent! So much to do …
Dear bloghoppers, thanks a lot for reading. Please feel free to comment – and I hope you'll visit again! Please hop on now to Jolene Heckman's blog for more fantastic patterns. If you just found us now, please start your hop on Claire Smillie's blog. From there you will be linked from blog to blog to see and read it all! Enjoy!

"Sunflower Fool"
Willkommen an alle Bloghopper! The Art and Business of Surface Pattern Design" entworfen habe.
