I have done loads and loads of photographs over the years, often as inspiration for painting, drawing or graphics, sometimes as photographic art in itself or sometimes just as a reminder of a great time or a lovely place. I get to use my photography in my graphic design jobs every now and then and – wearing my art director's in advertising hat – I have directed some big shootings as well.
So when through some designer friends I found out about the Minted "Through the Lense" photographic competition I joined right away. Turned out others loved it as much as I do and now there's more than 5000 entries! Kind of mad really! But ok, I enjoyed looking through my stash and reconnecting with my photographic self anyway, no matter what the comp outcome will be :-)

Über die Jahre habe ich eine Menge Fotografien gemacht, oft als Inspiration für Malerei, Zeichnungen oder Grafik, manchmal als fotografische Kunst, manchmal auch einfach als Erinnerung an eine schöne Zeit oder einen besonderen Ort. Eigene Fotografie gehört ab und zu mit meinen Grafik Design Jobs und – in meiner Rolle als Art Direktorin in der Werbung – habe ich einige große Shootings geleitet.
Als ich jetzt durch einige Designerfreunde vom Minted "Through the Lense" Fotografie-Wettbewerb erfuhr, war ich sofort Feuer und Flamme. Dann hat sich herausgestellt, daß andere die Sache genauso interessant fanden … und jetzt gibt es mehr als 5000 eingereichte Arbeiten! Schon ein bißchen verrrückt! Aber ok, ich habe Spaß daran gehabt, mein Archiv durchzusehen und meinem fotografischen Ich mal wieder zu begegnen – ganz egal, was bei dem Wettbewerb herauskommt :-)
